We have a client who was investigating a faster broadband connection via the government Superfast Connection Vouchers, we quoted the client based on their requirements (20Mb resilient leased line) using our partner Metronet.
Our client rightly did their Due Diligence and obtained competing quotes, one of which blew us out the water, however something was fishy. The competing quote mentioned a Microwave leased line. Metronet are the only serious Wireless Leased Line provider in Manchester and they had never heard of the competing supplier.
After a little digging we’ve found that the competing organisations Domain Name and Company had only been registered for 1 month.
I’m not saying there is anything wrong with using a company that is very young (everyone needs to be given an opportunity), but beware deals which seem too good to be true marketed on the back of the governments Superfast Broadband Connection Voucher scheme.
